Making records after records at the box office. Amidst the love the film is getting, Allu Arjun is in trouble. A case has been registered against Allu Arjun. A stampede broke out during the premiere show of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on the night of 4th December. Woman dies of suffocation in Hyderabad theatre. The crowd became desperate to get a glimpse of the screening of the film and Allu Arjun-Rashmika Mandanna. Suddenly there was a stampede and a woman died. A case has been registered against Pushpa-2 hero Allu Arjun in the death of the same woman. 35 year old Revathi died in that stampede. His 13 year old son was injured.
Now the question is that if a woman died due to a stampede during the screening in the theatre, then why was a case registered against Allu Arjun? According to the police, Allu Arjun had reached the theater without informing. It was because of this that a stampede occurred. There was no prior information from Allu Arjun’s team that he was coming. Despite this, so much crowd gathered in anticipation of his arrival that it became difficult to control it. It is being said that only the theater management knew about Allu Arjun’s arrival, but still they did not make proper security arrangements nor made separate entry and exit gates for the actor’s team.
That dark night of 4th December
On December 4, at around 9.30 pm, Allu Arjun arrived for the premiere show of the theater along with Rashmika Mandanna and music director Devi Sri Prasad. It was told that his personal security personnel started pushing the crowd to make way. Because of this the already chaotic situation became even worse. Fans started trying to follow Allu Arjun inside. Due to this, there was chaos in the lower balcony of the theatre. And within no time a stampede broke out.
How did Revati die?
In this stampede, Revati and her son got trapped in the crowd. It is being told that the police officers on duty tried to throw them out. After a lot of effort both of them were taken out. By then he had suffocated. The woman was given CPR. After this he was immediately sent to the hospital. Eventually Revati was declared dead at Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital. His son is undergoing treatment there. He is currently out of danger.
What is the allegation against Allu Arjun?
After this accident, the family of the deceased lodged a complaint at Chikkadpally police station. A case has been registered under sections 105 and 118 (1) and section 3 (5) of the Indian Judicial Code. Central Zone DCP Akshansh Yadav said that according to the complaint, actor Allu Arjun, theater management and his security team have been made accused in this case. We have to find out who was present in their security team that night and who pushed people, leading to this situation? We were deployed there and there was no mistake on the part of the police. The investigation is ongoing.
What was the reason for the stampede?
A crowd of more than one lakh fans had gathered at the event. This only worsened the atmosphere. The stampede broke out when Allu Arjun’s security team allegedly used force to control the crowd. Due to this many people fell and a stampede broke out.
