It has been seen on Facebook for a long time that many users and pages are copying the hard -made posts of original creators without permission and presenting them in their name. In such a situation, the company has now decided to curb these reposting accounts so that the real creators can get their rights and their content reaches more people.
Facebook has stated in its official blog post that it has launched a long-term scheme to reduce spamy and duplicate content and promote real creativity on the platform.
In the first half of 2025, Meta took action against more than 5 lakh such accounts which were involved in fake engagement and copy-paste content. Under this, the reach of these accounts was reduced, earnings were banned and in some cases the accounts were removed.
The company has clearly stated that the account which will copy someone else’s photos, videos or text posts will be temporarily closed. That is, those accounts will not be able to earn and at the same time the distribution of their posts will also be reduced.
Facebook is also saying that if their system gets a duplicate copy of a content, then its spread will be reduced so that the real creator can be given more priority. The company is also testing such a technique in which the link of original source will be added to duplicate content so that users can reach the real post.
Meta says that they have no objection when a creator gives his opinion on a video, makes a reaction video or speaks on a trend. But it will no longer be forgiven to steal someone else’s work without permission and credit.
This new rule of Facebook will get a big benefit to the original content creators and their hard work is correct. Therefore, if you are active on Facebook and share the content, then now be cautious or else you can stop both your earnings and access.
