Cracking down on drug traffickers in Faridkot district, the police have seized the property of drug traffickers in different police stations of the district. Now the drug traffickers will not be able to sell this property etc. and the government will deposit the income collected by selling this property in the government treasury. According to the information, the police have confiscated the property of the traffickers arrested in 9 cases, totaling Rs. 91,67,822.
District Police Chief Dr. Confirming this matter, Pragya Jain said that in the cases registered in the police station Sadik, Sadar Faridkot and Jaito, the property of the drug smugglers has been seized by the district police of about 91 lakh 68 thousand rupees. Apart from this, in 3 separate cases, the court has permanently confiscated the property of 10 lakh 99 thousand rupees of the convicts. The police chief said that after obtaining approval from the competent officer of the Finance Department of the Government of India under Section 68-F (2) of the NDPS Act, the accused Jagrup Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Rupinder Singh in the case registered in Sadik Police Station, the accused Jagrup Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Rupinder Singh of Rs. 11 lakhs and 10 The property has been seized. In various cases filed in Thana Sadar Faridkot, the property of accused Sukhjinder Singh, Mandeep Singh, Balwant Singh alias Titu, Balkar Singh, Inderjit Singh, Harjit Lal, Balwant Singh alias Billu has been attached. Similarly, the property of accused Kuldeep Singh, Sandeep Singh, Resham Singh, Jagmeet Singh and Manjit Singh in various cases registered in police station Jaito, Rs 18 lakh 49 thousand of accused Rajat Kumar in the case registered in police station City Faridkot. The property has been confiscated. The property seized by the police includes drug money, vehicles, bank deposits and houses. In the last four months, the district police registered 88 cases under the NDPS Act and arrested 120 accused.
