Chandigarh, December 19
The condition of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been fasting for the last 24 days on the Khanuri border, is critical. Dallewal fell while taking a bath this morning and remained unconscious for 8 to 10 minutes. According to doctors, his condition is critical. The doctors monitoring Dallewal on the Khanuri border said that the farmer leader has a high risk of heart attack and failure of several body parts. Talking to reporters at the Khanuri border, doctors said that they have not eaten anything for the last 24 days… ‘That’s why their condition is critical. There is a risk of heart attack when many organs of their body fail. We are checking them regularly. We massaged their legs. Their condition is extremely critical.” The doctor said, ‘Anything can happen at any time. Ketones levels are elevated recently. Electrolyte imbalance can cause them to have a heart attack at any time. Their condition is critical.”
Farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar said that the condition of Dallewal is getting warmer. Kohar said, “They went for bath water in the morning. After coming out, his condition worsened. He felt dizzy, fell down, vomited and became unconscious for 8-10 minutes.” Doctors’ efforts raised his blood pressure, but his condition is critical.
Kohar said that Dallewal joined the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court through video conferencing at 2:20 pm. He was involved in the hearing for about 12 to 15 minutes. Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann and several leaders of Haryana’s khaps reached the Khanuri border today to inquire about Dallewal’s health.
