Farmer Protest: Kisan Union raised questions on Satinder Sartaaj’s program during Article 163

Farmer Protest: Bharatiya Kisan Union Shaheed Bhagat Singh referred to Section 163 repeatedly imposed by the administration on December 6 at Shambhu border to stop the farmers migrating to Delhi and on the same night the singers in Ambala city. Questions have been raised about Satinder Sartaj’s show. Union spokesperson Tejveer Singh Panjokhara has released a video clip on social media asking if Section 163 was applicable only to farmers in Ambala. He says that if the stream was on, then how did Satinder Sartaj’s program take place in which hundreds of people were present.

Tejveer said that such an emergency had become that the government had to issue orders to shut down the internet in 11 villages around the Shambhu border and schools were also closed. He said that the farmers were peacefully marching to Delhi on foot and have been sitting peacefully at the Shambhu border for the last 10 months but have also suffered government torture.

Tejveer said that the government should consider the demands of the farmers, who are called Annadata, with an open heart and not use tear gas or any other form of torture to stop them at the border as enemies. He said that matters are resolved only through dialogue and the government should come forward for dialogue.
