Farmer Protest: The parties leading the permanent farmers’ marches on the border of Shambhu and Dhabi Gujars (Khanuri) in Patiala district, ahead of the program of 101 farmers marching to Delhi, left the fourth such march to Delhi on January 21 (Tuesday). A decision has been taken. This information was given today by Swarn Singh Pandher (Farmers leader Swarn Singh Pandher) and other farmer leaders during the press conference at Shambhu border.

It is to be noted that the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (India) and the United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) led the ‘Kisan Andolan-2’ from the Shambhu Morche to implement the demands of the farmers and workers from the government of the country. This decision has been taken for the purpose of sharpening the program of 101 farmers marching towards Delhi on foot.

It is to be mentioned that earlier on December 6, 8 and 14, farmers had marched towards Delhi on foot and peacefully from the Shambhu border. But all the three times they have been stopped by Haryana Police using strong barricading and force at the border. Meanwhile, every time the police have been attacking the farmers with tear gas shells and water cannons along with rubber bullets.

Due to this strictness of the police, during the three efforts, around a hundred farmers have been injured. The farmers’ leaders say that this is the bullying of the Haryana government that they are not allowing the peaceful and pedestrian farmers to go towards the capital of the country.
