An important meeting was held between farmers’ leaders and Haryana officials in Rajpura near here today late evening, during which after discussions on various aspects, the officials asked the farmers for a day’s time in view of the Prime Minister’s visit to Haryana on December 9. He said that after this, an attempt will be made to settle the matter by discussing again in detail.
According to the information, this meeting was held at the Eagle Motel in Rajpura, after which Sarwan Singh Pandher, who returned to Shambhu border, said that the Deputy Commissioner of Ambala from Haryana, Parth Gupta, and the SP of Ambala, Surinder Singh, were involved in this meeting. Apart from this, Patiala DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu, SSP Dr. Nanak Singh and ADC Anupriya Kaur Johal also attended. Sarwan Singh Pandher, Jaswinder Longowal, Manjit Roy, Balwant Behramke, Guruamneet Mangat, Gurwinder Bhangu, Tejveer Panjokhara, Jasvir Sidhu, Savinder Chutala and Sukhwinder Kaur Rampura Phool were among the farmers. After this, it is expected that the dialogue between the farmers and the center will start. Pandher said that he will announce his strategy by tomorrow evening only after waiting for the message from these Haryana officials.
