New Delhi, December 8
Farmers’ protest: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court of the country and a demand has been made. Apart from the border of Punjab and Haryana, farmers are protesting on many highways due to which people are facing problems. It is to be mentioned that the farmers under the banner of the United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have been camping at Shambhu and Khanuri border points between Punjab and Haryana since February 13.
A social activist from Punjab has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking directions to the Center and others to ensure that the agitating farmers do not block national highways and railway tracks.
