Farmers Protest: Tohana Kisan Mahapanchayat has nothing to do with Khanuri movement: Tikayat

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, in response to the question of Kisan Mahapanchayats being held at different places, said here that the movement of the Khanori Border Committee has been going on for 10-11 months and a one-day panchayat is being held in Tohana, which Farmers’ demands are being taken up. This Mahapanchayat and Khanuri movement have no relation with each other.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait came to attend the Kisan Mahapanchayat held in Tohana on Saturday. Farmer leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan was also present in the Mahapanchayat. He said that the Khanuri movement is being run by the committee there, while there is a Mahapanchayat of the United Farmers’ Front, there will also be a Mahapanchayat in the entire country on seven. Tikait said that we are having meetings till now. He said, “There is no strike movement going on till now. We are working under the banner of our organization. Where there is a problem, we keep picking it up. No new movement is being started yet, meetings are being held, the government will not agree, then we will see. were gone

Tikait said, “Syukta Kisan Morcha is one, those who started the struggle on the Khanuri border are different. They will either go ahead or stop there, they will talk about it the same.”

On the question of Dallewal’s support, he said that they had gone there, had come together, they could not tell them to end the fast to death, their committee would take the next decision. He said that the MSP Guarantee Act should be implemented and the farmers are also against the draft of the new Agriculture Marketing Policy.
