SHO Akash Deep Sharma said that after the body of Bittu Devi was recovered in Kachcha Shanti Nagar on October 23, 2024, action was taken under BNSS 194 on the statements of the family members. After postmortem the body was handed over to the family members. Now, just three days ago, deceased Bittu Devi’s daughter Lakshmi came to the police and told that her mother had been murdered. This murder was committed by her husband and brother-in-law. She was scared on the day of the incident because she had done a love marriage. His parents did not agree with him.
That’s why he did not inform the police. Murder case registered on Lakshmi’s complaint. Both accused Vikas and Vishnu have been arrested.

Used to ask for money to satisfy drug addiction
SHO Akash Deep told that both Vikas and Vishnu are drug addicts. Are of criminal type. Theft cases are also registered against Vishnu. In one case, Vishnu came out on bail from Nabha jail on 22 October itself. The very next day, both Vishnu and his brother Vikas went to Bittu Devi to ask for money to pay for their drug addiction.
