In Abohar, an elderly man was badly bitten and injured by a ferocious dog. The old man was going to the doctor in his village to get medicines. In such a serious condition, the people of the village got him admitted to the hospital.

The incident took place in Gobindgarh village. According to the information, Pyare Lal (78) was going to a doctor in the village to get ear drops in the morning. Meanwhile, a ferocious dog sitting on a car parked in the street pounced on Pyare Lal and kept scratching his leg for a long time. He tried hard to escape from the dog. But the dog did not leave his leg.
After this, hearing the screams, nearby people reached the spot and rescued the dog from its clutches. Buta Singh of the village informed this to his family members. On which he was brought to the hospital with the help of his nephew Rajindra.
The problem of dog bites is increasing in Abohar – Ritu
Here, vaccination in-charge of the hospital, Ritu, said that last month they had received 276 cases of dog bites. So far in this month of December, a total of 168 cases including Pyare Lal have been reported, the problem of dog bites is getting worse day by day.
Pyare Lal and Buta Singh have demanded from the village panchayat and administration that this growing problem of dogs should be resolved immediately. Otherwise it will be difficult for people to even leave their homes.
