Assurance given on other development works
On the occasion of the inauguration of the water works, the officials of the department gave them detailed information about the commencement of the water works, while Arun Narang told them about the entire city getting pure water on daily basis with its commencement. CM Mann said that such public welfare work should be done on initiative basis and he himself does not lag behind in such works. CM Bhagwant Mann said that all this has been possible due to the hard work of Arun Narang.
Apart from this, Arun Narang asked them to speed up the development work and other works stalled near the bus stand in the city. On which the CM also assured to complete them soon.
Electricity department had outstanding dues of Rs 60 crores.
Arun Narang told that till now the city residents were not getting full drinking water from this water works which was completed in the year 2016, because about Rs 60 crore was outstanding from the electricity department towards the Municipal Corporation. Due to which the electricity department was not approving new electricity connections for the new water works. When he got the responsibility of light incharge, he tried to solve the problem on priority and directly met Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and explained the problem.

Water supply line up to 250 kilometers
Chief Minister Mann personally showed interest in the matter and got it resolved and now the Electricity Department has issued a new connection for the new water works. Due to which now the entire city will get water every day as per the need of the people. Arun Narang said that earlier water was supplied in the city through 198 km long water pipe line, but during the tenure of AAP government, the water supply lines have been increased to 250 km, so that complete water can reach the people of every locality.

He told that earlier 5 MGD water was supplied to the city residents, which has now increased to double. He said that under the leadership of CM Mann, all the stalled development works in the city will be completed soon.
