Saharanpur: It is often observed that some children find it difficult to learn or quickly forget what they have learned. In such situations, parents become worried and attribute it to their child’s “weak brain”. However, experts believe that every child has different learning abilities and interests. Low grades do not necessarily indicate mental retardation.

Ayyas Ayurvedic Hospital Dr. Harsh told Local-18 that the first thing is to understand whether the child is actually suffering from amnesia or is not able to concentrate on studies. Sometimes, a child’s inclination towards an activity other than studies is considered a weakness. Every child has a unique talent, and it should be recognized and encouraged in that direction. If the child is repeatedly forgetting things, is unable to remember stored items, or is unable to remember information that has recently been communicated, it becomes necessary to focus on their memory. Ayurveda recommends some natural foods for such babies.

These things are effective in improving memory

Dr. Harsh told Local-18 that giving soaked almonds to children during the winter season can be beneficial. Four to five almonds can be soaked in water at night and eaten on an empty stomach in the morning. Apart from this, Ayurvedic herbs like walnuts, raisins, brahmi and conch flowers have also been found to be helpful in improving memory. Raisins in particular are considered particularly beneficial for memory.

Avoid onions

Dr. Harsh also advises avoiding certain foods. According to Ayurveda, raw onion is considered unhealthy for children’s memory. They say that children’s brains develop rapidly during the developmental age and a balanced and sattvic diet is more beneficial at such a time.
