Here the youth of the city who is a daily wage earner turned out to be a drug smuggler. A CIA team of police arrested him when he was waiting near a contract to deliver heroin to someone in Salem Tabri area. Five kilos and ten grams of heroin were recovered from him. The accused has been identified as Kanwarpal Singh, a resident of Ashok Nagar, who was produced in the court from where he has been sent to two-day police remand. The police got a tip-off that a daily wage earner was involved in drug trafficking, after which the police recovered heroin from him.
