Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will visit Bangladesh on December 9. India has announced this today. His visit comes amid tensions between the two countries in view of attacks on minorities, including Hindus, in the neighboring country. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the Egyptian Foreign Office will visit Bangladesh to attend a meeting under the consultation framework. He said that the Foreign Secretary will visit Bangladesh on December 9. Jaiswal was answering a question at the weekly press conference. Regarding the arrest of Hindu Sadhu Chinmay Krishna Das, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said that India expects a fair, just and transparent legal process in this case. –News-Patiala
