Former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Punjab state president Jasvir Singh Garhi has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on New Year’s Day on Wednesday. He was included in ‘AAP’ by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

It is to be mentioned that Garhi was removed from the post of state president by Randhir Singh Beniwal, in charge of BSP Punjab, under the orders of BSP National President Kumari Mayawati last November.

Along with this, the party high command appointed former Rajya Sabha member and former MLA Avtar Singh Karimpuri as the new state president in place of Garhi. Karimpuri has been the president of BSP Punjab for many years before.
