Here, the long-pending demand of the residents of Jandiala Guru for sewage treatment was met when Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO fulfilled his promise to the residents of Jandiala during the elections and laid the foundation stone of the sewage treatment plant to be built at a cost of 25 crore rupees. The plant will be ready in the next 18 months. In this regard, the Cabinet Minister said that a sewage treatment plant is being built to solve the sewage problem in Jandiala Guru, which is capable of meeting the needs of the next 25 years. He said that currently according to the population of Jandiala Guru, there was a need for a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of three lakh metric litres, but keeping in mind the growing population and the big projects coming up on the GT Road, the capacity has been increased to six MLD. Which continued to fulfill the needs of Jandiala Guru for the next 25 years. He said that with the commissioning of this plant, there will be no problem of drainage of dirty water from Jandiala Guru. He said that this is the first time that Jandiala Municipal Council has started its project by purchasing two acres of land. The Cabinet Minister said that its work will be completed in the next one and a half years and it will clean the sewage water and make it usable for agriculture. He also asked the officials to continue to perform their duty to maintain the quality of this work. Harbhajan Singh said that his constituency is his family and it is his duty to take care of their needs, in which he does not neglect even at night. He announced that in the near future Sub Tehsil Complex, Baba Ambedkar Statue, Multi Level Parking, 30 Bed Hospital, Multipurpose Stadium and Rest Houses in Panchayat Samiti will also be constructed in Jandiala Guru.
On this occasion, Chairman Shanakh Singh, Naresh Pathak, Chairman Gurwinder Singh, Mata Surinder Kaur, Axion Manidar Singh, Satinder Singh, Sunaina Randhawa, Sarbjot Singh Dimpy, Gulshan Jain, Dr. Satwinder Singh, Raj Kumar Malhotra, all Sarpanchs of Jandiala Constituency, all blocks. Apart from the presidents, a large number of local residents were present.
