Here, the postmortem of the four deceased, including Naib Singh, a resident of village Yara, was conducted at the LNJP Hospital in Kurukshetra from morning to afternoon. Today, after the postmortem, the police handed over the dead bodies to the family members and all were cremated late in the evening in their native village Yara.

Sarpanch Shobha Devi of village Yara said that this is the first time that 4 people have been cremated at the same time in her village. The pyre of Naib Singh (60), his wife Amrit Kaur (57), Dushyant (35) and his wife Amanpreet Kaur (32) was lit by Naib Singh’s nephew and Dushyant’s cousin Sahil. On the other hand, Naib Singh’s daughter Sonam also returned to India from UK with her family around 6 am on Monday morning. Along with her, her husband Shailendra Singh and son Hasandeep also reached village Yara in the morning.

The family is now survived by Dushyant’s son Keshav, who is a class 10 student at Divine Public School, Shahabad. Keshav is admitted in the ICU ward of Adesh Medical Hospital. Due to this, he could not attend the funeral.

Four dead bodies but two cremated

There was no space in the crematorium to cremate 4 bodies separately. Due to this, the villagers cremated Naib Singh and his wife Amrit Kaur and Dushyant and his wife Amanpreet Kaur together. In this way, 4 bodies were cremated on 2 pyres.
