Team Codex of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) here has won the prize of 50 thousand rupees by claiming the title of the national competition ‘Smart India Hackathon 2024’. The team consisted of Chetan Kashyap, Chetan Sharma, Deepak Prakash, Divyanshu Bhatt and Gurdit Singh from the Department of Computer Applications and Divyanshi Goyal from the Department of Computer Science.
The final competition of this program was held at SKCET Coimbatore where the main challenge was to develop a chat bot that is fully based on AI and ML. More than 57000 teams participated in the competition. The college had earlier organized two hackathon competitions. Karva had prepared the necessary platform for the students to prepare for this big competition. College Principal Dr. Sahajapal Singh praised the technical activities committee of the college for its efforts to prepare the students for national level events and also assured to provide all support to the students for such competitions. On this occasion, Head, Computer Applications Department Prof. JS Saini congratulated the team for winning the competition.
