Provincial Nominee Program In Canada: There is great news for Indians dreaming of settling in Canada. The Government of Canada invited 1,085 foreign nationals to apply for permanent residence under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The Express Entry draw was held on 16th December 2024, offering a great opportunity for those wishing to immigrate to Canada through the PNP. Earlier on December 2, 676 people were invited for permanent residence under this PNP program.

According to a Financial Express report, foreign nationals wishing to settle in Canada can obtain permanent resident status through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This program allows them to work and settle in a particular province or territory. PNP is specifically for workers who have skills, education and work experience. Each state and territory has its own immigration programs that cater to different worker needs.

The Express Entry System is a points-based immigration system of the Government of Canada that selects skilled workers for permanent residence in Canada. This system is administered by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This program is mainly for immigrants who want to settle and work in Canada based on their skills and experience.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is for professionals who have higher education, work experience, and language proficiency. This is the most important way to take advantage of job opportunities in different provinces of Canada. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) It is for skilled workers in technical and trade fields. Like, construction work, machinery, and other technical professions. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) This gives Canada’s provinces and territories the opportunity to select workers to meet local labor market needs.
