307 Agniveer soldiers of the fourth batch passed out today from 14 Gorkha Training Centers (GTCs) located in Subathu, Himachal Pradesh, showing great bravery and pride. These firemen who have sworn allegiance to the Republic of India will now join the illustrious Gurkha Battalions of the 1st and 4th Gurkha Rifles of the Indian Army, which have a rich and illustrious military history of over 200 years of valor and sacrifice.
Giving the said information, the Information Officer of the Defense Department said that the passing out parade was inspected by the Commandant of 14 GTC, Brigadier PP Singh. The passing out parade was held after the Agnivirs completed 31 weeks of rigorous training in physical fitness, warfare and field craft, weapons and tactics. Brigadier PP Singh in his address inspired the young firemen to keep the national and Indian army flags flying high on the borders of the country.
