Sarabjit Singh Bhangupatiala, December 6 MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli today flagged off 2 more mechanical road sweeping machines prepared at a cost of 98.56 lakhs for better cleaning of city roads in the municipal corporation. He said that one machine is already working with the municipal corporation to clean the dirt and garbage lying on the roadsides in the city, but since this one machine is insufficient, two more machines have been brought to the service of the city residents. Now with three machines, the city roads can be cleaned even better. The MLA said that the government has arranged huge funds for the development of Patiala city, with which the stalled development works of the city are being completed. Repair of broken roads due to canal water project for 24/7 water supply is going on fast in the city and no road will remain unrepaired. The MLA said that he himself is constantly monitoring the development works of the city by holding meetings with the district administration and municipal officials so that no city dweller faces any difficulty. Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajat Oberoi said that with mechanical road sweeping machines, the roads can be made clean by easily collecting the dirt and other garbage on the roads, this will give people a cleaner environment.
