Gukesh youngest world chess champion: Gukesh became the youngest world chess champion

Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh (18 years) today won the title of becoming the youngest World Chess Champion by defeating China’s Ding Liren. Gukesh scored 7.5 points in 14 matches while Liren scored 6.5 points. Under this title, Gukesh will get a prize money of 25 lakh dollars. It is worth mentioning that the Russian player Garry Kasparov hit this mark in the year 1985 and at that time he was 22 years old. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu have congratulated Gukesh on becoming the youngest world chess champion.
