Ludhiana There will be upgradation of the gym for the players in Guru Nanak Stadium. Officials asked to submit proposals for upgrading facilities for players. DC Jatinder Jorwal said this during the inspection of the gym at Guru Nanak Stadium on Thursday.

DC Jorwal expressed surprise at the old equipment currently in use for training players. The DC along with CM Field Officer Krutika Goyal stressed the importance of providing better facilities to promote sports culture. Athletes who have the potential to make the country proud should not lack any facilities. He also directed the officials to submit proposals for renewal and acquiring latest equipment within a few days.
District Sports Officer Kuldeep Chugh said the gym had not been renovated for many years and an upgraded facility with advanced equipment would benefit athletes in various sports including basketball, judo, athletics, football, hockey, wrestling and others.
