Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini reached Tepla in Ambala today and praised the Prime Minister for ‘one country, one election’. He expressed concern over the health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on death fast at Khanuri border.
“We request the Punjab government to take care of Dallewal’s health and provide them with medical facilities, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously implementing schemes for the welfare of farmers,” the Chief Minister said. In Haryana, all the crops of the farmers are being procured at MSP and Punjab should also give an assurance of procuring 100 percent of farmers’ crops at MSP like Haryana.
Farmers should go to the border and inform about this that their crop will be bought at minimum support price. The Chief Minister said that there should be no politics on the issue of farmers, but the sufferings of farmers should be understood and resolved. “We will request the Punjab government to provide high standard medical facilities to Dallewal,” he said.
The Chief Minister was talking to the media after inaugurating the ground floor of Swami Vivekananda Bhavan of Geeta Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School located in Tepla village today. He also announced to give 31 lakh rupees to the school.
Meanwhile, Mr. Saini praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ‘one country, one election’. He said, “One country, one election” will greatly benefit the country. This will reduce costs and the country will move forward faster.”
