A gangster from Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat was killed and two others injured in a police encounter near Industrial Modern Township (IMT) here late on Tuesday night.
According to information, after the encounter, the three were taken to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak for treatment, where Deepak succumbed to his injuries. While the condition of two others remains critical, they have been identified as Rahul alias Baba and Ayush, residents of Khidwali village. The condition of Rohtak resident Chota alias Chota is said to be out of danger. Sources said that there are bullets in their legs.
Rahul was wanted by the police in a triple murder case. The police started searching for the gangsters in the IMT area after the intelligence, while seeing the police, the miscreants opened fire on the police. The retaliatory action by the police left one dead and two others injured. The police has kept quiet about this encounter recently.
