Hoax Bomb Threat: A bomb threat received by an IndiGo flight from Goa to Mumbai on Monday evening was later proved to be false in the security investigation.

Due to the threat, the aircraft belonging to flight 6E 5101 was taken to an isolation bay after landing at Mumbai airport and all passengers were safely disembarked. This information was given by the spokesperson of the airline in a statement on Tuesday. “All standard operating procedures were followed and the aircraft was repositioned at the terminal after clearance from the relevant authorities,” the spokesperson said.

The airline did not disclose the number of passengers on the flight. An airport official said on Tuesday that a note with a bomb threat message was found on the plane.

The official said that a full emergency was declared at the Mumbai airport around 10.30 pm, which was withdrawn at 11.30 pm. He said that later the threat turned out to be false. -News-Patiala
