Vietnam has now emerged as the third most traveled country in Southeast Asia. In 2024, it surpassed Singapore to receive 17.5 million international visitors. More than 500,000 Indian tourists visited Vietnam in 2024, a 297% increase post-Covid. Key attractions include spectacular destination weddings, with Phu Quoc and Ha Long emerging as popular destinations. Simplified visa procedures and increased non-stop flights from India have also boosted demand.
Da Nang in particular has cemented its position as a top destination for Indian travelers. In 2024, Da Nang welcomed 222,000 Indian tourists, accounting for 5.3% of all international visitors. About 50% of Indians who came to Vietnam stayed in Nang. Reports show that the number of Indian tourists in Da Nang has increased more than 13.5 times compared to 2019. Since 2022, India has consistently ranked among Da Nang’s top five international markets.
