iPhone Air: Apple has recently launched its thinnest iPhone so far iPhone Air, whose thickness is only 5.6mm. Repair Specialist IFIXIT terdown the phone and discovered how Apple has kept servicing easy along with very thin designs. This is considered to be the biggest design change in the iPhone series after many years.
Camera Bump and Logic Board’s new jugaad
According to the IFIXIT report, Apple adopted a special way to fit all the necessary components in such a thin phone. In this, the camera bump was used as a “platoo” in which the part of the logic board is integrated. This design made enough space for the battery and also provided protection from turning to the logic board.
Titanium frame and strength
The initial test suggests that the titanium frame of the iPhone Air is quite strong and does not easily flex. However, when components inside it are removed, due to plastic gaps, its body can easily bend. IFIXIT says that it is difficult to say what will be on Durability for a long time.
Ease of Magsafe Battery and Repairing
It was also clear in the Terdown that Apple’s Magsafe Battery Pack and iPhone Air’s battery is the same. The 12.26 watt-overs battery in the Magsafe Pack can be removed and applied in the iPhone Air. Despite being so thin, this phone is easier than expected in terms of repairing. Its internal layout has been kept simple in which neither components have been very layer up nor are it difficult to access them.
Both the display and back glass are fitted with the clip without adhesive. At the same time, there is such adorable in the battery that can be easily removed from low-voltage current. This technology was first given by Apple in the iPhone 16 last year.
