How to Enable DND: In today’s time, smartphones have become an important part of our life. Whether it is online shopping, banking or functioning, everything has become easier than mobile. But along with this facility, there is a big problem which is called distraction. Think, you are in the meeting, studying or driving, then suddenly the call or notification alert comes, meditation is sure to distract. In such a situation, keeping the phone on airplane mode is not always a better option because it can cut your connection completely. Instead, “do not disturb” (DND) mode can be a great option.
What is DND mode?
For information, let us know that this feature silences the notifications and calls coming on your phone, so that you can complete your important work without obstruction. You can decide which apps or contacts should get notifications and whom should be blocked. Notifications come even while DND on, but their voice does not come. If you are troubled by repeated calls and notifications, then you can activate the DND mode on your phone with the easy steps given below.
How to turn DND mode on Android?
Note that the settings may be slightly different according to the brand but the basic method is almost the same.
- Open the settings.
- Type “Do not disturb” in the search bar or find DND icon in Quick Settings.
- Now turn on DND mode and if you want, you can also schedule and customize it.
- Go to the ‘Schedule’ option for schedule, then press + icon and choose activity like work, sleep, studies etc. Also set time.
- You can put some contacts (such as boss, partner etc.) and apps in the addition so that they will continue to get notifications.
How to turn DND on iPhone?
- Swipe up or down to open the control center (depends on the iPhone model).
- Tap on the “focus” mode and then click on the “Do Not Disturb” icon.
- On or off the DND as needed.
- Like Android, you can set DND according to timing and purpose here too.
- You can continue receiving calls from a particular contact using the “emergency bypass” option, even if the DND is on.
