According to a report in Dainik Jagran, on Sunday, January 12, Rohit held a review meeting of the Australia tour with BCCI officials in Mumbai, including India head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar.

According to the report, during the meeting, 37-year-old Rohit gave India the T20 World Cup title in 2024. He expressed his desire to remain the captain for a few more months.
