Chandigarh administration has become strict against traffic challan defaulters. Today, the RLA of the Chandigarh administration has decided to take action against those who do not pay five or more challans in the city. He said that those who do not pay five or more challans should pay them within 15 days, otherwise their driving license will be canceled and RC will be suspended. An official of Chandigarh’s RLA department said that the Chandigarh administration has been taking strict action against those who violate traffic rules for the past three years. Due to this, a large number of traffic violators have been issued challans. He said that around 7.5 lakh traffic challans in Chandigarh have not been paid yet. By doing this, strict action will be taken against those who do not pay the challans in Chandigarh. It may be mentioned that Chandigarh Traffic Police has installed more than one thousand CCTV cameras in the city. Traffic police are taking action against traffic violators in the city through these cameras. The police are sending online challans to those who violate traffic rules in the city.
