Gardner was run out after scoring 63 runs. After this, Deepti Sharma dismissed Alana King (4) and Sophie Molyneux in the last over.
Deepti could not complete the hat-trick, but Kim Garth (17) was run out, with which Australia could not play the full 50 overs. For India, Sri Charan and Deepti Sharma took two wickets each, while Amanjot Kaur, Kranti Gaur and Radha Yadav took one each.
