‘India should stop interfering in our affairs’, this Hindu leader of Bangladesh shows his eyes to India


A Hindu leader of Bangladesh has accused India of interfering in the affairs of his country. He says that India should avoid the habit of controlling the political parties of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said on Tuesday (December 10, 2024) that the people of the country are so intelligent that they know who is capable of what work, for this they need advice from outside. No need to take.

He had gone to pay homage to the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, where he was questioned on Bangladesh’s relations with India. In response to these questions, he accused India of interfering in the internal affairs of the country and said that the people of any independent country do not like the interference of any other country in its domestic affairs. He said that Bangladesh is an independent country and the people here have enough understanding to decide who can handle what responsibilities. There is no need to seek advice from outside and if needed, we can bring consultants from abroad.

He stressed the need for respect for each other among countries in international relations. Gayeshwar said, ‘India is our neighboring country and if our friendship is based on interests and respect then it will be beneficial for both the countries and the future will also be positive.’ He alleged that India has been interfering in the internal affairs of Bangladesh. He said, ‘We have seen India’s dominance for years. Like, MD cannot be appointed in a bank without giving green signal from Delhi. Who will be the Chief Justice of the country, who will be the MP or Minister, India has influence in all such decisions. He said that bilateral relations should be between country to country rather than being personal or party based."text-align: justify;">Gayeswar Chandra Roy further said that the friendship between Bangladesh and India should be based on the relations between the two countries and not personal or party based. He said that if India can realize this then undoubtedly it will adopt the right approach to build strong relations with Bangladesh.
