He said that Bangladesh is an independent country and the people here have enough understanding to decide who can handle what responsibilities. He stressed the need for respect for each other among countries in international relations. Gayeshwar said, ‘India is our neighboring country and if our friendship is based on interests and respect then it will be beneficial for both the countries and the future will also be positive.’ He alleged that India has been interfering in the internal affairs of Bangladesh. He said, ‘We have seen India’s dominance for years. Like, MD cannot be appointed in a bank without giving green signal from Delhi. Who will be the Chief Justice of the country, who will be the MP or Minister, India has influence in all such decisions.
