Jahk Tanveer said after being released from jail
39-year-old Jahak Tanveer told The print that he was arrested by the Saudi police in December 2023 after a complaint of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Tanveer was alleged to have tried to weaken Pakistan’s political system.
Saudi officials considered the post of Jahak to harm the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. After this, he was arrested. Tanveer said that he did not know that it was forbidden to speak against Pakistan in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia officials behavior was not good
Tanveer told The print that the police of Saudi Arabia had kept Jahk in a long time after taking into custody. He did not even tell them for several hours what allegations were made against him. After a long interrogation, Saudi officials claimed, “You want to create tension between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.”
Tanveer said that the purpose of posting his social media was not to create diplomatic rifts between the two countries. Jahake said, “I wrote only on promoting fundamentalism in Pakistan and closing Afghan children in Pakistani jails.”
