This is the fifth and final match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy Test series. Australia leads 2-1 after 4 Test matches played so far. India will try to level the series by registering a win in Sydney.

After which team will compete with Australia?
After Australia, the Indian team will play a series with England. The England team will come to India around January 15. A 5-match T20 and ODI series will be played between India and England from January 22 to February 12. Both the teams will play T20 series first. After this, ODI matches will be played on February 6, 9 and 12. Thus India will play 9 matches within the first 50 days of 2025. If the Test match lasts for 5 days, then the Indian team will be on the field for 13 days between January 1 and February 19.
