iOS 26 Public Beta! When is Apple’s new update coming? Learn what new features will be included


iOS 26 Public Beta: Apple’s next big software update iOS 26 is now ready for public testing. According to reports, around 23 July 2025, Apple can release its public beta version. It was first announced at the WWDC event earlier this year and since then it has gone through many developers testing stages.

This beta version will give general users a chance to experience new features and interfaces, that too before the final launch. The permanent version of iOS 26 will probably be launched with the iPhone 17 series in September. Users who want to try it can join the Apple Beta Software Program for free. But before installing, the device must be backup because there is a possibility of bugs in the beta version.

In which devices will IOS 26?

The iOS 26 update is shutting down support for some old iPhone models. The iPhone XR and iPhone XS will no longer get this update. However, this update will support the iPhone 11 and subsequent models such as iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd GEN). If you want to use new AI features of Apple Intelligence, then for this you will need a device from the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 series.

After beta release, users can register by visiting the beta website of Apple and then by going to their iPhone settings, they can enable the beta update.

What’s new in iOS 26?

The biggest change in iOS 26 is its liquid glass design that gives the entire UI a modern and smooth look. App icons are re -designed, the animations are more fluid and new options of customization have been given in home and lock screen. Apps like Camera, Safari and Photos have been updated in user friendly layouts. This is considered to be the biggest visual overhaul after iOS 7.

Apple Intelligence

Apple’s inbuilt AI engine with iOS 26 will now work even more. Now it will give useful information with audio and text translation in real-time, smart decorations based on the content visible on the screen, and Chatgpt integration. Users will now be able to create their own custom emoji through Genmoji and will be able to generate fun images in image playground. There are also new shortcuts based on AI which will work keeping in mind the methods of using your phone.

Messages and Phone apps improve

The Phone app now shows recents, favorite and Voicemails in one place. In addition, features such as call screening and hold assist will make calling further. Messages app now includes new features like custom background, option to add pole to chat and typing indicators in group chat. The messages of unknown sanders will now go into a separate folder.

Also updated for gaming and carplay

Apple has also added a new Apple Games app to iOS 26, which will make it easier to find and manage games. At the same time, in the carplay, features like Pinned conversations, widgets support, and Compact Call View will be available.
