iPhone 18 Air: Apple’s new iPhone Air, which was launched in September this year, was in the news due to its ultra-slim design. Although its sales were not as expected, but now the latest leak has revealed that the company is preparing its new version iPhone 18 Air. This time Apple is going to remove a major drawback which was there in its earlier model – dual rear camera setup.
Will get dual camera upgrade
According to tech tipster Digital Chat Station, the next iPhone Air i.e. iPhone 18 Air may have two 48MP cameras, a main sensor and an ultrawide lens. This change will prove to be especially attractive for those users who are fond of mobile photography but do not want to compromise with the slim design.
The leak has also revealed a concept image in which the new iPhone Air looks similar to the previous model with just an additional lens added to the camera module.
Changes in design and performance also
According to reports, Apple still wants to maintain the ultra-slim design. The thickness of the first model was only 5.6mm, and the new version is also expected to be in the same range.
The new iPhone Air is likely to have a 6.5-inch OLED ProMotion display, Face ID support, and the new A20 Pro chipset which will improve both performance and battery efficiency. Apart from this, this phone can be an eSIM-only model i.e. it will not be provided with a physical SIM slot.
Launch timeline and price
According to the leak, Apple will include the iPhone 18 Air in its 2026 lineup. Along with this, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the company’s first foldable iPhone can also be launched.
All these models will be introduced in September 2026 while the base model iPhone 18 and the budget version iPhone 18e could be launched in early 2027.
Talking about the price, the starting price of iPhone 18 Air is likely to be around ₹ 1,19,900 in India, which means Apple may launch it at the same price as last year.
