The RPSC Group, who owned the IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants, on Monday gained the right to partnership with Lancashers for the operation of Manchester Originals, the team of England’s League The Hundrade.
According to Cricinfo, the RPSC group of Sanjeev Goenka made the highest bid of about Rs 1252 crore to get a 49 percent stake in the English franchise. The group on Friday failed for ‘London Spirit’. The auction was won by a Tech Consortium in Silicon Valley.

Lancashire said in a statement- Lancashire confirmed the deal by issuing a statement on Monday afternoon.

The terms of the deal will be discussed in the next 8 weeks According to the report, ‘Both sides (Lancashers and RPSG Group) will now discuss the terms of the deal for 8 weeks. Lancashere has earlier suggested that he is ready to discuss some of his 51 percent stake. However, this amount should be so high that they are able to repay an important part of their bank loan.
Goenka bought a league in SA20 2 years ago RPSG Group President and founder Goenka bought the Lucknow franchise in the IPL in 2021 for Rs 7,090 crore before purchasing the Durban franchise in SA 20 in 2022.
