Death Sentence to Amir Tataloo : World famous pop singer Aamir Tataloo has been sentenced to death on charges of blasphemy in Iran. Aamir Tataloo was accused of insulting Prophet Mohammad, which the Supreme Court of Iran found true and convicted him. In fact, the Supreme Court had earlier sentenced Tatalu to five years for other crimes including blasphemy, but the court accepted the prosecutor’s objection to this sentence. Now he has been sentenced to death.
Re-investigation found the government’s statement correct – Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of Iran said, “The accused Amir Hossein Maghsoodloo, popularly known as Amir Tataloo, was earlier sentenced to five years. The case was reopened after the prosecutor objected to Tatalu’s sentence. When the investigation was done, what was said by the government was found to be true and pop singer Aamir Tatalu’s crime of insulting Prophet Mohammed has been proved true, hence he has been sentenced to death.
The court further said, “However, this decision is not final and it can still be appealed against.”
Aamir Tatalu has been hiding in Türkiye since 2018
37-year-old Aamir Tatalu was living in hiding in Istanbul, Turkey since 2018 due to fear of Iran. But the Turkish police caught him in December 2023 and handed him over to Iran. Since then he is in Iran’s custody. Let us tell you that Tatalu was also sentenced to 10 years for promoting prostitution. Apart from this, he was also accused of spreading propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran and sharing obscene material.

In fact, many allegations were made against the famous tattoo singer Aamir Tatalu earlier also for the composition of rap, pop and R&B. Tataloo had a strange television discussion with the then President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi in the year 2017. After this Raisi died in a helicopter accident. At the same time, in 2015, Tatalu also composed a song in support of Iran’s nuclear program, which came out in 2018 during the first presidential term of Donald Trump.
