Bangladesh: Another temple of ISKCON was set on fire in Dhaka in the neighboring country of Bangladesh today, due to which the temple building was damaged and the goods burnt to ashes. Radharman Das, vice-president and spokesperson of ISKCON Kolkata, gave this information and said that another ISKCON temple was set on fire in Bangladesh, due to which all the items inside, including the idols of the gods and goddesses, were burnt to ashes. He said that the temple was set on fire in the early hours. He said miscreants set fire to the Radha Krishna temple and Mahabhagya Lakshmi Narayan temple located in Dhore village under the jurisdiction of Turg police station in Dhaka district. Condemning this attack, State President of BJP in West Bengal and Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar said that this act of hatred against religious places is unforgivable. Immediate action should be taken to bring the accused to justice and ensure the protection of religious minorities.
Earlier, there was an attack on a Durga Puja pandal in Bangladesh, on which the Indian Ministry of External Affairs expressed ‘deep concern’. The Ministry of External Affairs had appealed to Dhaka to ensure the security of the people of all minorities including the Hindu community and their religious places.
