Amid the ongoing struggle in the Middle East, Israel launched a big air attack on Syrian capital Damascus. The Syrian Ministry of Defense was targeted in this attack. Syrian army units active in South Syria were also attacked. Local people heard the sound of loud blasts and saw the smoke.

The Drej community is a special minority group that is of Arab origin, but does not believe in Islam or Judaism. He lived in Egypt in the 11th century. There is a mixture of Hindu, Buddhist and other beliefs in his religion. There are about 7 lakh drozers from the community in Syria. Their number in Israel is about 1.5 lakhs. Lebanon, Jordan also has a large number of people from the Drej community. There are about 29,000 druzes in the Golan Heights. Israeli drains citizens also serve in the Israeli army.
America strongly condemned violence
American Special Envoy Tom Barrack said that we strongly condemn the violence against citizens in Sweda. All sides should retreat and join meaningful conversations. Meeting will be held in UNSC
After the Israeli attack on Syria, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has called a meeting on Thursday (July 17, 2025) for an emergency session. According to the report of the Anadolu news agency, the meeting has been requested by the United Nations Mission of Syria. This has been supported by the current UNSC member Algeria. According to Reuters, Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Dannon has called for UNSC to condemn the Syrian government to condemn the barbaric crimes committed against innocent civilians on Syrian soil. He further said that Israel will continue to take strong action against any terrorist threat anywhere and at any time on its borders.
