1984 anti-Sikh riots: A Delhi court has set December 9 as the date for recording the statements of two former police officers as witnesses in the riots case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
CBI special judge Jitinder Singh informed that the witnesses regarding this case cannot appear in the court today, after which the court adjourned the hearing of this case. It is also to be mentioned that the court summoned the witnesses Ravi Sharma and Dharam Chand on November 23. Tytler personally appeared in the court regarding this matter. This case is related to the killing of three Sikhs in Gurdwara Pul Bangash in the national capital in 1984. Regarding this matter, the court had recorded the statement of Badal Singh’s widow Lakhwinder Kaur on November 12, who was killed in Gurdwara Pul Bangash during the riots.
