Farmer leaders giving information after the meeting in Jagraon

On the call of the State Committee of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Dakaunda, a massive protest will be held in front of Jagraon ADC office on 19th December as part of the district level movement. This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by District Head Jagtar Singh Dehadka.

Addressing the meeting, state vice president of the union, Amandeep Singh Lalto, said that the Modi government ordered the state governments to close the grain markets, eliminating the minimum support price and asking the corporates to make purchases. Due to which, by eliminating government procurement in grain markets, grains can be purchased from farmers at cheaper prices. He said that farmers will not tolerate this bullying.

Central government clearing the way for corporate houses

In the meeting, farmer leaders said that the Modi government is clearing the way for handing over agriculture to the corporate world by implementing black agricultural laws through state governments. Under the WTO policies, the BJP coalition government has once again attacked our country’s agriculture and land. He said that this is the reason why farmer leader Dallewal is being forced to die instead of accepting the demand for MSP.

He called upon the farmers to once again be ready to organize the farmers’ movement on the lines of the Delhi struggle and fight unitedly. Jagroop Singh Hasanpur, Rajinder Singh Bhanohar, Tarsem Singh, Kulwinder Singh Mohi, Sukhwinder Singh Hambaran etc. were present in the meeting.
