A girl from Jalandhar died after getting buried under a tree in Canada. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Ritika Rajpur. The family has appealed to the state and central governments to bring the daughter’s body to India. Some children and people in Canada together make money

Ritika’s mother Kiran Rajput said- We came to Jalandhar in 2007. Since then he is living on rent. Both husband and wife run their own boutique in Jalandhar. The younger daughter works and the son is still studying. In view of family problems, daughter Ritika was sent to Canada. So that he can overcome his problems by earning money in Canada.
Ritika was pursuing an online hospitality management course in college in Canada. On December 7, Ritika was injured when a tree fell near James Lake late at night. After which he died.

Went to Canada in January this year
Ritika also did a hospitality course in India and took admission in an institute in Canada. Ritika had gone to Canada after taking a loan. Where he died. Students in Canada are raising money to bring Ritika’s body back to Punjab for cremation.
Bob Heer, who was collecting money to send Ritika’s body home, said – She was living with us on rent. It may take two more weeks for the body to reach his family in Jalandhar.
