Jalandhar: Bloody clash between two groups of prisoners, four injured

Late night in Modern Jail Kapurthala, two factions of inmates clashed, in which four inmates of the jail were injured. According to information, during the bloody clash between the two factions locked in the jail over an old dispute, a total of four prisoners of both the factions have been injured and one of them has been referred to the Medical College Amritsar due to his serious condition.

Simranjit Singh, Vishal, Sunil (34) and Mukesh (35), inmates of both groups were injured in the jail. In which Vishal was serving sentence in jail in a case of murder. The jail police admitted the injured to the civil hospital. Seeing Mukesh’s critical condition, doctors referred him to Amritsar Medical College and two prisoners have been sent back to jail after treatment. As soon as the gang war was reported, SHO Manjit Singh of Police Station City-2, the PCR team reached the Civil Hospital and started investigating the matter. According to the police, a clash broke out between the two groups due to an old grudge.
