IAS Harpreet Singh Sudan, appointed as election observer by the Punjab State Election Commission for the municipal elections in Jalandhar, held a meeting with senior officials of the district. Discussion regarding security of strong room

Jalandhar Election Officer and DC Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal and Observer Harpreet Singh Sudan directed that the voting process should be completed with fairness, transparency and security. He stressed on strictly following the instructions and rules of the State Election Commission. Reviewed the arrangements including polling stations, staff training, dispatch and collection centres, EVMs in strong rooms after polling and deployment of security forces.

The Observer appreciated the district authorities for peacefully completing the enrollment and scrutiny processes. DC Aggarwal assured strict adherence to the instructions of the State Election Commission and shared details of strong coordination with the appointed PCS rank officers for smooth operations. DC said- The entire election process will be free, fair and peaceful.
