Joy Baidwan, silver medalist in the National Games, honored

Joy Baidwan, daughter of Parmdeep Singh Baidwan of village Mataur, who won the silver medal in the under-17 category of shot put in the National School Games, was honored by the Mohali Athletic Association today. Association president Malakiat Singh and coach Swaran Singh honored Joy by wearing a medal. He said that Joy Baidwan is continuously taking coaching at multi-purpose Khel Bhavan in Sector 78 under the guidance of his association and coach Swaran Singh. He said that earlier Joy Baidwan had won the gold medal playing for Mohali district in the Games of Watan Punjab. Her father Paramdeep Singh Baidwan said that in the under 14 category of shot-put, she has also set a new record in the national games and has won the first place at the national level in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Games. Joy Baidwan was also honored by the management and coach of KV school.
