Campaigning for civic elections has ended today in Kapurthala. DC and Election Officer Amit Kumar Panchal said that the Municipal Corporation has set up a total of 158 polling booths for the elections of Phagwara and Nagar Panchayats. One of the polling parties deployed at these polling centers

Voting will be held in Municipal Corporation Phagwara and Nagar Panchayat Bhulath, Begowal, Nadala and Dhilwan on December 21 from 7 am to 4 pm, while after counting of voting, the results will be declared on the same day. 173 candidates are in the fray in Municipal Corporation Phagwara and similarly 22 candidates are in the fray from Nagar Panchayat Dhilwan, 29 from Nagar Panchayat Nadala, 20 from Nagar Panchayat Bhulath and 34 from Nagar Panchayat Begowal.

110 presiding officers and 110 APRO deployed for elections in Phagwara The DC said that 110 polling booths have been set up for 50 wards of Phagwara Municipal Corporation, where 101374 voters will exercise their democratic right. Among these voters, 53555 are men and 47812 are women.

The DC said that 110 presiding officers and 110 APROs have been deployed for the elections in Phagwara. 11 polling booths have been made for 11 wards of Nagar Panchayat Dhilwan, where 6122 voters will cast their votes. There are 13 polling booths for 13 wards in Nagar Panchayat Begowal, where there are 8349 voters. Similarly, in Nagar Panchayat Bhulath there are 13 polling booths for 13 wards, where 8679 voters will cast their votes. 11 polling centers have been set up for 11 wards of Nagar Panchayat Nadala, where there are 5766 voters.
