In Kapurthala, a young man committed suicide by hanging himself. After receiving information about the incident, the police took custody of the dead body and took action on the statement of his brother. Post-mortem of the dead body has been done and handed over to the relatives.

The incident took place in Preet Nagar area. Police Station City SHO Rakesh Kumar confirmed that the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Sarwan Singh, resident of Kot Khalsa, Amritsar. The deceased worked with his brother Charanjit Singh at a kulcha shop on Randhir College Road in Kapurthala.
He was feeling somewhat troubled due to domestic problems. Late on Tuesday night, he committed suicide by making a noose of muffler from the girder on the ceiling of the room of the house. On the statement of his brother Charanjit Singh, Police Station City took action under Section 174 and handed over the body to the family members.
